Dubai Taxi Company PJSC (DTC), one of the UAE’s leading providers of comprehensive mobility solutions, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with AJ Industries LLC (AJI), Ajman’s leading provider of sustainable and innovative automotive solutions, to explore a strategic partnership that will significantly expand DTC’s mobility footprint across the Emirate of Ajman.
The agreement marks one of the most consequential public-private mobility deals of the year, combining AJI’s deep local market expertise with DTC’s operational capabilities, digital infrastructure, and track record in customer-focused transport delivery.
A Strategic Footprint Beyond Dubai
DTC already operates in Ajman through a school-bus partnership with the UAE Ministry of Education. The new MoU, however, marks the company’s most ambitious move yet to extend its full mobility ecosystem beyond Dubai’s borders.
“This MoU marks a major step in DTC’s strategy to extend our footprint across the UAE,” said Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi, Group CEO of DTC. “By partnering with AJI, we aim to bring our operational expertise, digital platforms, and innovative mobility solutions to Ajman, supporting the development of a more integrated, efficient, and customer-centric transport ecosystem that benefits residents, visitors, and the wider economy.”
For AJ Industries, the partnership reflects an evolving vision of what regional mobility will look like in the years ahead.
“At AJI, we believe the next phase of mobility will be defined by close collaboration between partners who understand both the technology and the local market,” said Omar bin Omair Al Muhairi, Group CEO of AJ Industries. “Working with Dubai Taxi Company allows us to bring forward sustainable, technology-led transport solutions tailored to Ajman’s unique requirements.”
What the MoU Will Deliver
Under the agreement, DTC and AJI will jointly develop a scalable mobility platform that lifts service quality across both mass-market and premium segments, while creating a replicable model for further rollout across the UAE.
Key areas of exploration include:
- Integration of e-hailing platforms such as Bolt into Ajman’s existing taxi network
- Optimisation of local fleet operations through DTC’s operational playbook
- Enhanced digital booking and dispatch capabilities, designed to lift the overall customer experience
- Flexible driver provisioning and workforce solutions to ensure a scalable, qualified driver pipeline for taxi operators and mobility providers
- Premium service upgrades in the limousine sector, including fleet renewal and advanced technology integration
- New business models spanning corporate mobility, tourism partnerships, and on-demand premium transport
A Replicable Blueprint for the UAE
The deal carries strategic weight beyond Ajman. Both parties have explicitly framed the platform as a template that can be replicated across other emirates, a signal that DTC’s expansion strategy is shifting from incremental presence to systematic, partnership-driven rollout.
This aligns with broader national priorities. The UAE’s vision for advanced and sustainable mobility has placed digital integration, premium service standards, and public-private collaboration at the centre of urban transport policy, and the DTC–AJI partnership is among the clearest expressions of that strategy in 2026.
The collaboration underscores DTC’s commitment to innovation, continuous improvement, and the strengthening of public-private partnerships in support of the UAE’s vision for advanced and sustainable mobility.
