The World’s Best Airport Lounges in 2026

From Vienna and Athens to Las Vegas and Seoul, the world’s leading airport lounges are becoming destinations in their own right, combining premium dining, workspaces, showers and hospitality for increasingly demanding global travellers.

The airport lounge has changed. Once viewed primarily as a quiet room reserved for premium-ticket passengers, today’s best lounges increasingly combine restaurants, workspaces, wellness facilities and hospitality experiences designed to make time at the airport part of the journey itself.

For frequent business travellers in particular, reliable Wi-Fi, quiet areas, showers, convenient opening hours and good food can matter just as much as luxury.

A 2026 study by business credit-card company Capital on Tap analysed 74 Priority Pass airport lounges worldwide, considering member ratings, weekly opening hours, number of amenities and dress-code requirements. Customer ratings were given greater weighting in the final score. Data for the study was collected in June 2026.

Here are the 10 best airport lounges globally in 2026, according to the study.

Rank Airport Lounge Airport Country
1 Vienna Lounge Vienna International Airport Austria
2 Goldair Handling Lounge Extra Athens International Airport Greece
3 Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club Harry Reid International Airport USA
4 IGA Lounge International Istanbul Airport Türkiye
5 Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse Los Angeles International Airport USA
6 Prima Vista Lounge Rome Fiumicino Airport Italy
7 The Club SFO San Francisco International Airport USA
8 Turkish Airlines Lounge Miami International Airport USA
9 The View Lounge Brussels Airport Belgium
10 Sky Hub Lounge Seoul Incheon International Airport South Korea

1. Vienna Lounge, Vienna International Airport

Vienna Lounge takes the top spot with an overall score of 8.73 out of 10 and a Priority Pass member rating of 4.8 based on more than 8,000 reviews at the time of the study.

Located at Vienna International Airport, the lounge combines Austrian design with local and international food, alongside spaces for both work and relaxation. Priority Pass also named Vienna Lounge its 2026 Lounge of the Year for Europe.

Its 18 listed amenities include showers, a quiet area, a cinema, children’s facilities and even shoe-shine services, while conference facilities are available for an additional fee.

2. Goldair Handling Lounge Extra, Athens

Athens International Airport’s Goldair Handling Lounge Extra ranks second globally.

One of its greatest advantages is availability: the lounge operates 24 hours a day, giving it 168 opening hours each week. It carried a Priority Pass member rating of 4.5 in the study.

Greek-inspired buffet food and wines from Greek producers give the lounge a strong sense of place, while premium drinks, comfortable seating and shower facilities add to its appeal for long-haul and connecting passengers.

3. Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club, Las Vegas

The Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas ranks third.

Spread across two levels, the lounge mixes restaurant-style seating, relaxation areas and dedicated spaces for travellers who need to work between flights. A Champagne Room adds a more indulgent element to the experience.

Its Priority Pass rating of 4.7 was among the highest in the study, helping it become the highest-ranked US lounge on the list.

4. IGA Lounge International, Istanbul

Few airports operate at the scale of Istanbul, making the quality of its premium spaces particularly important for connecting travellers.

IGA Lounge International ranks fourth globally. It operates around the clock and recorded a 4.3 Priority Pass member rating, with 11 listed amenities.

Its positioning reflects a broader trend: major international hubs are increasingly designing lounges to serve passengers spending several hours between long-haul connections rather than simply waiting for departure.

5. Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse, Los Angeles

Virgin Atlantic’s Clubhouse at Los Angeles International Airport ranks fifth and is one of four US lounges in the global top 10.

The lounge recorded a 4.4 member rating and 18 listed amenities, tying Vienna for the largest number of amenities among the lounges analysed.

Virgin Atlantic’s Clubhouse model has long focused on creating an experience closer to a hospitality venue than a conventional waiting room, making the Los Angeles location a natural fit for premium long-haul travellers.

6. Prima Vista Lounge, Rome Fiumicino

Italy takes its second position in the broader European showing through Prima Vista Lounge at Rome Fiumicino Airport, which ranks sixth.

The lounge recorded 16 listed amenities and a Priority Pass member rating of 4.3.

For an airport serving large volumes of leisure and business travellers, its inclusion demonstrates that independent lounges can increasingly compete with airline-operated premium facilities.

7. The Club SFO, San Francisco

The Club SFO at San Francisco International Airport ranks seventh with a Priority Pass rating of 4.5.

The lounge operates for around 133 hours each week and offers 12 listed amenities.

Its strong performance is particularly relevant in San Francisco, where the airport serves a significant technology and corporate travel market alongside international passengers.

8. Turkish Airlines Lounge, Miami

Turkish Airlines’ lounge at Miami International Airport takes eighth place.

Operating 24 hours a day, it combines long opening hours with 14 listed amenities and a 4.3 Priority Pass rating. It is also the only lounge in the global top 10 in the study with a stated smart-casual dress code.

9. The View Lounge, Brussels

The View Lounge at Brussels Airport ranks ninth, despite recording one of the highest Priority Pass member ratings in the entire top 10 at 4.7.

Its position illustrates that the study considered more than customer scores alone, also measuring factors such as opening hours and the number of facilities available.

10. Sky Hub Lounge, Seoul Incheon

Completing the list is Sky Hub Lounge at Seoul Incheon International Airport, the only Asian lounge in the global top 10.

It recorded a 4.5 Priority Pass rating and operates for approximately 164.5 hours each week, making it one of the most accessible lounges in the ranking.

Airport Lounges Are Becoming Part of the Travel Decision

The 2026 list points to a wider shift in premium travel. The strongest lounges are no longer differentiated simply by complimentary food and comfortable seating.

Travellers increasingly expect spaces where they can work, dine, shower, recharge and spend several productive hours between flights. At the same time, lounges are becoming more locally distinctive, incorporating regional food, design and cultural elements rather than presenting the same premium experience at every airport.

Priority Pass’s own 2026 Excellence Awards similarly emphasise hospitality, service and guest experience. Its Global Lounge of the Year was Escape Lounges at Portland International Airport, while Vienna Lounge, Lounge Fukuoka, Club Kingston and Bidvest Premier Lounge at Johannesburg’s O.R. Tambo International Airport were among its regional winners.

For business travellers, that evolution is particularly significant. With long-haul connectivity and global corporate travel continuing to expand, an airport lounge is increasingly less about waiting for a flight, and more about making the hours between destinations useful.

Note: The Capital on Tap study analysed 74 Priority Pass lounges using data collected in June 2026. Countries directly involved in conflict at the time, including the UAE, Israel and Iran, were excluded from its seed list, meaning major lounges in Dubai were not evaluated in this particular ranking.
