How would you describe your leadership philosophy?
My leadership philosophy is anchored in heart-led, servant leadership, guided by the principles of Unhu or Ubuntu, the belief that “I am because we are.”
Over my 35-year journey in education and global philanthropy, I have learned that true leadership is not about authority, but about empowering others to discover their own greatness. Witnessing the resilience of rural communities shaped this deeply. It taught me that sustainable impact begins with empathy, active listening, and creating bridges for the next generation of leaders, especially women and youth, to step into their own power.
What is the one opportunity you believe leaders in your sector are not yet fully capitalising on?
The greatest untapped opportunity lies at the intersection of technology and heritage-based education.
While many are adopting AI, STEM, and robotics, few are grounding innovation in local culture, identity, and indigenous knowledge systems. I believe Education 5.0 offers a powerful path forward by combining modern industrial innovation with community values. When global digital literacy is connected with local heritage and sustainable development goals, we can cultivate problem-solvers who are globally competitive and deeply committed to their communities.
What has been the most defining decision you have made for your organisation?
The most defining decision was shifting from short-term educational aid to building self-sustaining networks and long-term infrastructure.
Championing Early Childhood Development blocks in under-resourced rural areas, despite major funding challenges, was a leap of faith. It taught me that bold vision attracts alignment. When leadership is rooted in authentic and transparent intent, communities respond. Real transformation requires moving beyond temporary fixes and building structures and mindsets that can outlast us.
What key priorities or strategic shifts will define your organisation’s next phase of growth?
Our next phase focuses on institutional sustainability and expanding our global footprint.
We are transitioning grassroots initiatives into a formalised Private Voluntary Organization framework to strengthen compliance and partnerships. We are also accelerating cross-border experiential learning through international educational tours, while investing in digital infrastructure, green solar energy, and ICT hubs in schools. The goal is to create a replicable model where heritage-based values and future-ready technology empower marginalised youth and educators worldwide.

No action is too small when it is driven by an authentic desire to uplift humanity.
