Keeta UAE Launches Cooling Hubs to Support Delivery Riders During Summer

UAE

Keeta has introduced air-conditioned rest areas, cold drinks, seating and support facilities across the UAE to strengthen rider welfare during the summer season.

Keeta, the on-demand delivery platform backed by global technology company Meituan, has expanded its rider welfare programme in the UAE with the launch of dedicated cooling hubs for delivery riders.

The initiative introduces a summer support network across the country, with air-conditioned rest areas, complimentary cold drinks, seating and essential amenities designed to help riders manage hydration, recovery and wellbeing during the hotter months.

The move comes as rising UAE temperatures place greater focus on the welfare of outdoor workers, particularly within the fast-growing delivery sector. Keeta said the programme is part of its wider strategy to strengthen support for delivery partners and provide facilities that reflect the realities of working through the summer.

Colin Xu, Head of Logistics Operations at Keeta UAE, said delivery riders are central to the company’s operations and that support during summer must be practical, accessible and responsive to their needs.

Beyond rest and hydration, the cooling hubs are also intended to offer riders space to connect with colleagues and build a stronger sense of community while on duty. Keeta added that it will continue gathering rider feedback through the summer to refine the programme.
