Abu Dhabi and Dubai recently marked the birthday of His Majesty King Charles III with a series of exceptional events. Attended by hundreds of specially-invited dignitaries, ambassadors and guests from the expatriate and local communities, the events were held at the UK embassies in both Emirates and celebrated the shared beliefs of the UK and the UAE.
Innovo, an industry leader in construction and innovation across the built environment, was the platinum sponsor of both events. The firm, which is headquartered in London, shares many philosophies with His Majesty the King, most notably in its priority areas of embracing technology and innovation, supporting people, and fostering sustainability.
Edward Hobart, British Ambassador to the UAE commented, “The UK and the UAE share a unique bond, forged by common values and a mutual commitment to progress, sustainability, and innovation. Innovo’s involvement in these celebrations highlights the strength of this partnership. Their work not only underscores the shared vision of both nations but also sets an example of how businesses can drive positive change while fostering cultural and economic ties.”
Innovo is behind many of the most iconic commercial and residential projects in the UAE, including Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena, the Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab, Dubai Airport, The St Regis Residences, The Six Senses Hotel, The Louvre Residences and the Dubai Sustainability Pavilion.
As a pioneer in construction, technology-adoption and real estate development, today the firm is looking to leverage its industry-leading status to enter the UK real estate market – a country with which it already has firmly-established ties.
Lord Philip Hammond, former UK Chancellor of the Exchequer, serves as the firm’s Chairman, and CEO Bishoy Azmy recently spoke about the shared principles and strong bonds between the two countries.
Bishoy Azmy, commented, “I see shared philosophies across both the UK and the UAE business communities. In recent decades I have witnessed the two countries move in the same way on policy and in practice, embracing new industries like fintech, AI and the Internet of Things to lead the field in revolutionary concepts. For Innovo – a company that is committed to using cutting-edge, transformative technology, working sustainably and creating trusted relationships – I believe there is fertile ground for collaboration,”
Innovo also works closely with the UK government’s export credit agency – UK Export Finance. Through this partnership it is providing structured finance and project management solutions to deliver critical infrastructure projects in Africa, the Middle East and Europe. Such projects include hospitals and healthcare facilities, schools, agricultural schemes and other critical infrastructure.
Innovo’s sponsorship of these events underscores its commitment to fostering cross-cultural relationships and shared values between the UAE and the UK. As the company continues to expand its presence globally, it remains dedicated to delivering transformative projects that embody innovation, sustainability, and a people-first approach. By aligning its vision with the principles championed by His Majesty King Charles III, Innovo reaffirms its role as a bridge between nations, contributing to a future defined by collaboration and progress.
