Using heuristic strategies to assist students meet their academic goals, Heuristics Hub is also a location where strategies are used to give a novel and efficient approach to learning, helping students develop skills for the modern world.
In addition to traditional teaching, Hui has given lectures on marketing and entrepreneurship, ventured into e-commerce to sell educational materials, and started a YouTube channel called ‘Startup Millionaire’ to provide informative videos about start-ups and enterprises. In an interview with Business Frontier, Hansen Lee Teck Hui, Director and Principal Teacher of Heuristics Hub, speaks about his professional journey and success mantras.
Give us a brief overview of the approach you undertake at Heuristics Hub.
Heuristics Hub, a prominent name in the education sector, is adept at transferring information to the next generation and is today, known for being a reliable educational establishment. Building a close-knit community through platforms like Telegram, where questions about science and math may be posed and answered, is a key component of our human-centric approach. The company sets itself apart by offering the cutting-edge TCR (Topic, Concept Applications, Results) education technique, which equips students with the critical thinking skills necessary to tackle difficult problems.
Tell us a bit about the philosophies that help you stay ahead of the curve?
At Heuristics Hub, we place a strong emphasis on teacher empowerment and provide our educators a platform to develop and present their ideas. Instead than taking a top-down strategy, we respect the inputs from our teachers. Instructors are urged to devote a chunk of their time towards suggestions, enhancements and attempting new activities. We think it’s important to give them the opportunity to take the lead on projects like co-hosting live streams and writing books.
Our focus is to create a climate that is growth-oriented and collaborative. In fact, one of our recent teacher-led initiatives involved an educational tour of the science centre for the primary kids to promote early science learning.
What are your thoughts on the use of technology in a classroom?
We are aware of the dynamic nature of technological developments in the education sector and take proactive steps to leverage automation and artificial intelligence to streamline our processes. We intentionally use AI as our company grows to improve administrative procedures and encourage deeper interactions with parents. We have platforms specifically designed to handle client funnelling and inquiries, which allows us to effectively manage leads and create compelling, customised promotions. I personally appreciate how quickly technology is developing, and I’m determined to use automation and artificial intelligence (AI) to increase the productivity of our company.
The incorporation of AI enables our organisation to grow by optimising administrative processes and fostering positive parent-child relationships. Our cutting-edge client funnelling and inquiry platforms highlight our expertise in lead management and providing customised promotional offers. Notably, under our direction, remote learning flourishes and students acquire priceless technological knowledge. Heuristics Hub is a trailblazer of hybrid approach, serving students interested in our unique pedagogical approach from anywhere in the world, not just those who live close to our physical sites.
How do you keep abreast with the latest trends in the industry? What are the future goals of Heuristics Hub?
I attend seminars, listen to audiobooks, read a variety of newsletters and network with industry partners. All this helps me not only understand the latest trends but also fosters a collective growth of the sector on the whole.
As far as future plans are concerned, we aim to leverage technology trends like AI and automation to grow our online presence and reach out to the larger community. Our goal is to support and strengthen an active educational community by creating more instructional content on social media sites like Tiktok, Instagram, and Youtube. We also want to open more centres in various locations over the course of the next five years to increase our influence and reach.
